NPH Declares

I've been revealing to friends of late that I like Joe Biden for President.

I'm now declaring it publicly. Look for occasional expositions of the virtues of Biden's candidacy here. For now, enjoy this video:

Yer allowed to like Biden. You've got good judgment. Me, I've liked Obama since he ran for the US House in Chicago....

Thanks for the endorsement of my endorsement. If it comes down to it we can stage a Kairos vs. NPH/ Obama vs. Biden blog debate.

That would be awesome.

We heard Biden speak in the DBQ...the guy's a bulldog.

We went to hear Edwards (Vice-prez candidate at the time) speak, and we both walked away wishing we could vote for Biden.

Scott,

"wishing we could vote for Biden"? Get on the NPH train, baby--you can vote for whoever you want!

Rocky, this video is frustrating because the politicians can spew this type of propaganda because the public doesn't know what the heck is going on...there is a plan and it is militarily to get as close as possible to the real danger...IRAN...nobody is talking about it, but we just pulled 50 percent of our troops out of germany where they were for 50 years mind you, and put them in Iraq and Afgan. Is that happenstance? If he becomes President or whoever does, and then sees the intel, I would like to see a compare contrast piece of speeches like this with what they say 6 months in to their term after being briefed daily on the dangers of Iran and the middle east.

Michael,

It's not propaganda. It's a speech on the floor of the senate. It's a contribution to the debate, the main contention of which is that a strong central government in Iraq is not plausible.

I have no doubt that Biden knows the intel. This speech and others only points up the faulty assumptions undergirding the present campaign in Iraq.

if they knew the intel they wouldn't be pushing for 'immediate withdrawl' from Iraq rather a change in strategy! So if they do know the intel it is just politics. I believe It is all just a political ploy to get in the white house, then they whoever gets in will spin "why we are staying in Iraq in a different light because we HAVE to stay.

Biden doesn't advocate an immediate withdrawal. He advocates a troop draw-down for the purpose of establishing semi-autonomous local governments.

"if they knew the intel they wouldn't be pushing for 'immediate withdrawl' from Iraq rather a change in strategy!"

wait a minute. logically, this statement is just not helpful.

this assumes that the chair of the foreign relations committee doesn't have the intel, and that said chair is not qualified to be chair because of a position that an average american thinks is unwise because said chair is not privy to the intel that (apparently) said average american has.

to accuse biden of politicking here is a cheap shot. he's just made a decision that is different than yours...with a lot more intel, i might add.
